Governance

Below outlines key documents that outline the management of the Club. Our governance policies define the structures, decision‑making processes, and accountability measures that ensure the club operates transparently, responsibly, and in the best interests of its members.

Club Constitution

The Constitution exists to provide clarity, stability, and good governance for the Melbourne University Futsal Club. It sets out the rules, structures, and decision‑making processes that guide how the club operates, ensuring that every member understands their rights, responsibilities, and the way the club is managed.

This Policy looks to govern the development, establishment, amendment and review of policies to ensure relevance, authority and consistency, define the roles, responsibilities and authorities in relation to the development, establishment, amendment and review of policies.

This Policy looks to set the financial standards and conduct expected from all people with regard to the financial matters with the Melbourne University Futsal Club. 

Competitions

The Club runs its own competitions and as such there are expectations all participants involved (team managers, players, and spectators) should have an understanding before competing.

CompetitionsPolicy

The Competitions Policy sets out the standards, rules, and expectations that guide how our social leagues and competitive programs are run. Its purpose is to ensure that every competition delivered by the Melbourne University Futsal Club is safe, fair, consistent, and enjoyable for all participants.

The Competition Rules outline the standards of play, conduct, and fairness that all participants must follow in our futsal competitions. Their purpose is to ensure matches are run safely, consistently, and in a way that protects the integrity of the game.

The Team Naming Policy ensures that all team names used in our competitions are appropriate, respectful, and aligned with the values of the Melbourne University Futsal Club. Its purpose is to provide clear guidance on what is acceptable, helping maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all participants.

The Extreme Weather Policy outlines how the Melbourne University Futsal Club manages competitions during unsafe or severe weather conditions to ensure that a safe environment is maintained, and also planning for matches requiring results

Membership

Our membership policies outline the standards, rights, and responsibilities that ensure a fair, safe, and inclusive experience for everyone in the club.

This Policy looks to provide a framework to ensure the integrity of membership processes and decisions, set clear responsibilities and obligations for persons registering to be involved in the club community, ensure that membership fees and membership rights are transparent, consistent and fair 

This Policy looks to provide a framework to ensure the integrity of selections in competitive teams, set clear responsibilities and accountabilities for selection decisions, and ensure that selection processes are transparent and decisions are consistent and fair 

Enable the Melbourne Unviersity Futsal Club (the Club) to comply with relevant legislation and obligations related to Child Safety, prevent and manage child abuse risks and guide responses to incidents of harm. 

Ascension

Whilst focused on results, we also need to set clear expectations for conduct, commitment and accountability to help everyone contribute positively, both on and off the court, towards our futsal development and results focused programs

This Policy looks to outline the standards, expectations, and responsibilities relating to the wearing, care, and management of club uniforms and ensure a strong sense of Club identity and reputation across all performance teams 

This Policy looks to encourage new and emerging opportunities such as utilising facilities for matches, ensuring that use remains fair and equitable in accordance with program purposes, as well as ensure compliance with third parties and to ensure appropriate Use of Facilities 

The Underage Membership Policy outlines how the Melbourne University Futsal Club supports, protects, and includes members under the age of 18. Its purpose is to ensure that all underage participants are involved in a safe, supervised, and child‑safe environment that meets the standards of the University of Melbourne and Football Victoria.
