Committee

The Committee consists of the President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. They are the primary decision making body of the Club, and are voted in by the members annually.

Coaches

Coaches are skilled, experienced and/or qualified individuals in the sport of Futsal. They help teach the sport to our members and are a core part of a healthy club development

Operations

Our Directors, Coordinators and Officers make up the other operational roles. They are appointed by the committee and may receive stipends and recognition for their volunteering. UoM students who volunteer with MUFC can also receive recognition through Melborune Plus

Position Descriptions

Coaches are responsible for managing the relevant Club Performance team. The Coach provides high-quality coaching and training for all players, with the intention of preparing players for competitions and tournaments

Coordinators are responsible for the organisation and management of a Club Competition 

 Competition Director is responsible for the smooth running of all Club-facilitated competitions

Equipment Coordinators manage the purchasing, distribution, and maintenance of futsal equipment across the Club

Futsal Director provide relevant and valued coach support in the club environment, and to monitor and mentor coaches to conduct appropriate quality futsal activities that will enhance the players’ and coaches’ experience. 

Match Officials ensure that futsal matches are conducted in a safe, fair, and enjoyable manner by applying the Laws of the Game consistently and fostering a positive sporting environment for all participants.

Member Protection Information Officers (MPIOs) are there to listen to issues raised by members of any sport before triaging and referring them to the right place to find a resolution. 

Partnership Directors secure, manage, and maintain sponsorships and fundraising initiatives that provide financial and in-kind support to the club.

The President ensure the club is run efficiently administratively, financially and socially to support all on-court activities. They helps the committee prioritise its goals and keeps the committee on track by working within the club’s Constitution and Policy Framework. At an operational level, the major function of the President is to facilitate effective committee meetings. 

The Registrar manage and maintain accurate records of the Club. This includes members, coaches, and volunteer registrations. The Registrar further ensures compliance with Football Victoria (or other external competitions), Melbourne University Sport, and Club requirements outlined in Club Policy and Procedure.

The Club Secretary is primarily responsible for all administration duties and provides the coordinating link between member, the committee and various stakeholders.

Team Managers ensure the successful management of the team and welfare of the players in their care, whilst making sure that all off field matters are dealt with efficiently and timely

The Treasurer ensure that a financial management and reporting system is put in place and operable, so the club committee has an accurate understanding of the financial status of the club at all times.

The Vice-President is the deputy-leader of the Club. They support the president with operational oversight and internal coordination
